Strong Start Learning is a provider of online learning programmes for children aged 4-9, offering expert teaching with a learning-coach approach. By booking a programme or using our website, you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. Our Services
We deliver live online sessions designed to support children’s literacy and numeracy in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our programmes are intended to support learning but do not replace formal schooling.
2. Who can Book?
Bookings must be made by parents or legal guardians aged 18 or over.
By enrolling you confirm that:
– you have the authority to do so
– the information you provide is accurate
– you will help your child follow our session guidelines.
Parents/ guardians remain responsible for their child’s supervision and behaviour while using our services.
3. Accounts on Skool
If you create an account, you agree to:
- keep your login details secure
- provide accurate information
- notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
We may suspend accounts where information is incorrect or Terms are breached.
4. Bookings and Payments
4.1 Fees
All prices are shown in GBP (£) and must be paid in advance unless agreed otherwise.
4.2 Payment Method
We accept payment via Stripe.
4.3 Enrolment
Your child’s place is confirmed once full payment has been received.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
If you cancel
– 48 hours before a programme starts: full refund
– 24 hours before a programme starts: partial 70% refund
– After a programme starts: No refund
5.1 Missed Sessions
We understand things come up but we cannot guarantee make up sessions for missed classes unless agreed otherwise.
If we cancel a session, we will offer:
– A replacement session or
– a full refund of the session missed
6. Technology Requirements
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child has:
- a suitable device
- a stable internet connection
- access to the required platform (Skool)
We cannot be responsible for disruption caused by technical issues on the user’s side.
7. Behaviour and Safe Learning Environment
We are committed to creating a kind, safe and focused learning space.
Children taking part must:
- treat tutors and other learners respectfully
- follow tutor instructions
- not record or share sessions without permission
We may remove a participant if behaviour is seriously disruptive or unsafe. Where reasonable, refunds will not be provided in these circumstances.
8. Session Recording
We may record some of our live sessions. If recordings are made, they are used only for:
- quality assurance
- staff training
- safeguarding where required
Recordings are stored securely and not shared publicly without consent.
9. Our Materials
All lesson content, worksheets, and materials belong to Strong Start Space.
You are welcome to use them for your child’s personal learning, but you may not copy, sell, or share them commercially.
10. Progress and Outcomes
Every child is different. While we work hard to support progress and confidence, we cannot guarantee specific academic results.
11. Our Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to any programme will not exceed the amount you paid for that programme.
12. Privacy
We take children’s data and privacy seriously. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect and use personal information.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
